Chopok Low Tatra Mountains
Mt. Chopok (altitude of 2,024 metres) is a part of the range Low Tatra Mountains and is divided into two resorts: CHOPOK NORTH and CHOPOK SOUTH.
Chopok north
CHOPOK NORTH resort(altitude of 900 – 2,024 metres) with its northern slopes is known as ski and tourist resort Jasná Low Tatra Mountains. Skiing in the resort Jasná is because of well kept pisteis appealing to beginners as well as advanced skiers. Chopok North is situated to the south of the town Liptovský Mikuláš at the point where village Demänovská Valley ends.
Chopok North comprises three smaller resorts (ZÁHRADKY 900 – 2,004 m, BIELA PÚŤ 1,117 – 2,004 metres, LÚČKY), connected by ski lifts and cables.
Chopok south
CHOPOK SOUTH resort lies on the southern slope of Mt. Chopok in cadastre of the villageBystrá Valley , 22 km from the town Brezno, in region Horehronie. Chopok South attractsmainly freeride freaks because of its vast plains.
Chopok South offers 10 km long marked and well- kept piste and two freeride zones.
Chopok South is 1,080 – 2,024 metres above the sea level and is divided into two resorts: SRDIEČKO (1,080 – 1,494 metres.) and KOSODREVINA (1,494 – 2,004 metres).
